Psalm 11 Meaning Explained: When Foundations Are Shaking, Trust God

When Foundations Are Being Destroyed: A Reflection on Psalm 11 Life has moments where stability feels like it is collapsing. Systems fail, relationships shift, justice seems delayed, and uncertainty becomes normal. In those seasons, the question naturally rises: What should the righteous do when everything feels like it is falling apart? That is exactly the tension captured in Psalms . This psalm is short, but it carries a deep message about fear, faith, and where true security is found. When Fear Sounds Logical Psalm 11 opens with advice from people around David: “Flee like a bird to your mountain.” In other words: escape, run, protect yourself. On the surface, this sounds reasonable. When danger rises, running feels wise. When systems shake, withdrawal feels safe. But not every “logical” response is a faithful one. Sometimes fear disguises itself as wisdom. A Decision to Stay Anchored David’s response is striking—he refuses to flee in panic. Why? Because his trust...

When Evil Seems to Win: Lessons from Psalm 10

When Evil Seems to Win: Lessons from Psalm 10 There are moments in life when injustice feels louder than righteousness. We see corruption prosper, pride celebrated, and innocent people suffering. In those moments, many believers silently ask the same question David asked in Psalm 10: “Why standest thou afar off, O Lord? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?” (Psalm 10:1) Psalm 10 is one of the most honest prayers in Scripture. Yet by the end of the chapter, his heart shifts from confusion to confidence. This Psalm teaches us how to trust God when life feels unfair. 1. God Can Handle Honest Questions David begins Psalm 10 with deep emotion. He wonders why God seems distant while evil increases. This reminds us that faith is not pretending pain does not exist. Real faith brings every question to God. Many believers think they must hide thei...

100 YEARS FROM NOW !!!

Image
In the year 2119, in just 100 years from now, every single reader of this piece will be underground, our bodies having become part of the soil. During that time, our fate in respect to paradise or hell would have been made known to us. Meanwhile above the soil, our houses that were left behind would have become homes for others or demolished for better structures. Our clothes would have become rags for others and replaced by more recent trends, our cars will be on display as historical artifacts by others, also replaced by more advanced technology. As for us, we will be, for the most part, never thought about by anyone again. How often do you think about your great grandfather? How often does your great grandmother cross your mind? Our presence here on earth today, that presence that we make so much noise about and shed so many tears for, was preceded by countless generations before us and shall be followed by countless generations after us. Every generation that passes through this ...

Pursue Worthy Counsel

Pursue Worthy Counsel. “Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counselors there is safety,” (Proverbs).   Someone knows something you need to know. Something that can help you survive and even succeed in the most painful chapter of your life. Ignorance can be deadly. Don’t risk it. Whatever you do today, take the time to listen to Godly advice. True champions do.

Don't Panic

Don’t Panic.  “Be still, and know that I am God,” (Psalm 46:10). Something may happen today that shocks you. Don’t worry about it. God anticipated it. Remember, satan is merely an ex-employee of Heaven. God knows him quite well. He fired him. Get alone today in the presence of God. Fear will die and courage will flourish.

Return for Repair.

Return for Repair. “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool,” (Isaiah 1:18). When you receive a product you have ordered through the mail, it may arrive damaged. You have to return it to the manufacturer for repair. Your life is the same way. Sometimes the painful experiences have left us damaged. Only God can truly repair us. Don’t be afraid of God. Dare to reach for Him. He loves you far more than you will ever know
